Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

1. Introduction

ALAMO Artificial Intelligence Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Texas limited liability company located in Granbury, Texas, operates Hank AI ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Hank AI at hank.alamoai.org or via phone at (817) 402-9970.

By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Phone number(s) used to access or interact with the Service
  • Payment information (cryptocurrency wallet addresses and transaction hashes for USDC, XRP, and $HANK payments)
  • Any information you voluntarily share during calls

2.2 Information Generated by the Service

  • Call recordings— Audio recordings of all calls placed through or received by Hank AI

  • Call metadata (date, time, duration, caller/recipient phone numbers)

2.3 Technical Information

  • Basic website usage data (page views, access times) via server logs
  • IP address (logged by our web server)
  • Browser type and device information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process and fulfill your calls and service requests
  • Generate transcripts and store recordings
  • Process payments and verify cryptocurrency transactions on-chain
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including service updates
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Call Recording Disclosure

Recording Notice

All calls placed through or received by Hank AI are recorded and transcribed. There are no exceptions. By using the Service, you provide explicit consent to call recording. You are responsible for notifying any third parties on a call that the call is being recorded, as required by applicable law.

Transcripts are provided free of charge. Audio recordings are available only with a paid plan (Day Pass, Full Audio, or Unlimited).

Two-party-consent states: For outbound calls to phone numbers with area codes in two-party-consent states (including California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, Connecticut, and Delaware), Hank audibly discloses the recording at the start of the call.

5. Mobile App Permissions

The Hank AI mobile application requests the following Android / iOS permissions solely to provide the calling and export features. Each is used only for its stated purpose, on-device, and is not uploaded to our servers beyond what is necessary to place the call or export the content you request.

  • READ_CALL_LOG (Android) — Used exclusively to display recent incoming and missed phone numbers from your device so you can pick a number to deploy Hank against. Hank will only place calls to numbers that appear in your device call log. Your call log is not uploaded, sold, or shared. Only the specific numbers you select for Hank are transmitted to our servers to place the call.
  • READ_CONTACTS (Android / iOS) — On iOS, Apple does not expose the system call log to applications. On Android devices where the call log is unavailable (for example, on managed profiles), we fall back to your contacts as the source list for the picker. Your contact list is read on-device and shown to you; it is not uploaded, sold, or shared. Only the specific contact number you pick is transmitted to our servers to place the call. You may be asked to attest you have called or spoken with the person before Hank will place the call.
  • RECORD_AUDIO (Android / iOS) — Used for voice input during calls you initiate with Hank and, where applicable, for Hank's audio stream to your device.
  • PHOTO LIBRARY / MEDIA (Android / iOS) — Used only to save clips or transcripts you explicitly export from the app to your device camera roll so you can share them to social apps. Hank does not read, scan, or upload your existing photo library.

We do not request location access, SMS access, microphone access outside of calls, or any unrelated permissions. If you revoke a permission, only the feature that relies on it will stop working — the rest of the app continues to function.

6. TCPA Compliance & Scope of Use

Hank AI is designed and restricted to use as a tool for returning phone calls and handling incoming calls on behalf of the user who operates the Service. Hank does not place unsolicited marketing or sales calls, and the Service is not a telemarketing platform.

  • Hank will only place outbound calls to phone numbers that appear in the user's device call log, evidencing a prior call relationship with the recipient.
  • By using the outbound-call feature, the user attests that they have a prior relationship with the recipient and that the message they instruct Hank to deliver is lawful and not harassing.
  • The Service filters obvious profanity and direct insults from user-supplied messages before delivery.
  • Responsibility for compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and analogous state laws rests with the user who initiates each call. The user agrees to hold ALAMO Artificial Intelligence Labs LLC harmless for misuse of the Service contrary to this Policy and our Terms of Service.

7. What We Do NOT Do With Your Data

  • We do NOT sell your personal data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. Ever.
  • We do NOT share your call recordings or transcripts with third parties except as required by law.
  • We do NOT use your call data to train AI models without your explicit, separate consent.
  • We do NOT use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the Hank AI website.

8. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on our own self-hosted servers. We do not use third-party cloud SaaS platforms (such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for data storage. Your call recordings, transcripts, and personal information reside on infrastructure that we directly own and operate.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention — Zero by Default

Hank forgets. By design.

By default, every call is destroyed within sixty seconds of ending. Audio, transcript, per-call log — all of it. Not archived, not indexed, not “retained for quality and training” — destroyed. Enforced at the server level.

We do not hold what we do not have. We cannot leak what we have destroyed. We cannot be compelled to produce what does not exist. This is the same thesis as our payment stack: non-custodial by default.

If you want a call saved, you buy it. Per-recording unlock or a monthly tier. When you purchase retention, we deliver the file (audio + transcript + metadata) to you by secure download — it is yours, not ours. We may host it for a short convenience window (30 days by default, tier-dependent) so you can re-download, but the file is yours the moment payment clears.

At every tier, you remain in control — you can download, re-download, or force-delete your copy from our servers at any time. Once you delete it from our servers, the only copy is the one you keep.

A secondary 48-hour sweep runs daily as a backstop: any record that somehow survives the 60-second destroy (for example, a worker failure) is captured and destroyed by the daily sweep. Zero long-lived data is the load-bearing invariant.

Customer account records (your phone number, chosen access code, KYC verification status, payment history) are retained as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing and tax-record purposes. You may request full account deletion at any time (see Section 14).

Exception: if a lawful subpoena or preservation order is served before a scheduled destroy, the specific records covered by the order are retained until the order is resolved. Our destroy-audit trail (timestamps and counts, not content) is available on request.

10. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Data

Payments made in USDC, XRP, or $HANK are processed on their respective blockchain networks. By their nature, blockchain transactions are publicly visible and permanent. We are not responsible for the public nature of on-chain transaction data. We store wallet addresses and transaction hashes solely for payment verification and record-keeping.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service may interact with the following types of third-party services:

  • Telecommunications providers — for phone call routing and delivery
  • Blockchain networks — XRP Ledger and other networks for payment processing

These third parties have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We share only the minimum information necessary for these services to function.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

13. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of certain data processing activities

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 14. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

16. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
